Prominent geneticist loses £3.5m grant over charges of bullying

The Wellcome Trust has withdrawn a £3.5m (€3.9m; $4.5m) research grant to a scientist at the Institute of Cancer Research after allegations of bullying were made against her.
Nazneen Rahman, a prominent genetic researcher at the institute, resigned her position there after an investigation found that she had a case to answer. A law firm commissioned to investigate charges that were first laid against her by other staff members last November found sufficient evidence for the allegations to be reviewed by a disciplinary hearing.
