A hard hitting report has raised serious concerns about the delivery of the government’s life sciences strategy, Nigel Hawkes reports

Delivery of the government’s much vaunted strategy for life sciences is “incoherent and wholly inadequate,” a House of Lords select committee has concluded.1

In an unusually hard hitting report the Science and Technology Committee said that the plans showed complicated arrangements for implementation, a lack of clear authority and accountability, and a failure to engage the NHS effectively.
