A modest proposal on gun control—and a real one

Re: A modest proposal on gun control—and a real one
Douglas Kamerow's article demonstrates some worthwhile (perhaps unconventional) analysis. US gun law is an example of circumstances advancing beyond appropriate (well intended) legislation, and could be compared with the current issues of policing the internet. In 1776, the Right to Bear Arms meant a single shot, muzzle-loading pistol or musket. Perhaps a constitutional amendment to specify these weapons (instead of accepting the right to own any derivatives) might resolve current issues!
