Child obesity strategy is postponed

Publication of the long awaited childhood obesity strategy will be delayed until the summer, the Department of Health for England confirmed. A spokesman for the department told the Independent newspaper that “there is still work to be done to get it right.”1

Brexit makes no sense for science, says leading scientist

Paul Nurse, director of the Francis Crick Institute and former president of the Royal Society, argued that there is no credible case for the UK scientific community to support leaving the European Union. “This is why it is frankly a no-brainer for science.
