As a coauthor of the original paper, I read the research news article “PET after chemotherapy identifies Hodgkin’s lymphoma patients who can avoid radiotherapy” with interest.1 The title grossly over-simplifies the increasingly challenging personalised decision making needed in responding to a “negative” positron emission tomography scan after initial chemotherapy in early Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
