Colin Pinnock joined the Bromsgrove District General Hospital in 1986, shortly before its move to the brand new hospital in Redditch. In this way he was instrumental in setting up and developing the anaesthetic service with his three colleagues. Colin’s particular interest was in education, and, after developing the teaching programme for senior house officers, as royal college tutor, Colin set up the first district general anaesthetic registrar rotation in the West Midlands.
