Ambulance services also receive emergency calls via the 111 service. The report, Ambulance Services, England: 2013-14, showed that emergency vehicles responded to 6.33 million calls last year, of which 95.1% (6.02 million) were to a 999 emergency call and 4.9% (309 260) were to a 111 call.
