I personally think that this is a good move to train willing doctors who would like to take on the role of management, rather than recruit other industry managers and teach them about running the NHS.
I do feel that it’s not the system which is failing but the management needs help / training to change their gear / up their game. On quite a few occasion managers seem to struggle from unrealistic heightened patient expectations and from politician statements.
